Chris Lee films Taiwanese drama with Ruby Lin

Looking to explore more overseas work opportunities, Malaysian-Chinese actor Christopher Lee (Chris) recently signed with an overseas talent agency called Catwalk Agency, who manages Taiwanese artistes such as Lin Chi-ling, Bianca Bai, Sonia Sui, Joe Cheng and Ethan Juan.

Currently in Taiwan filming his new drama, Forgotten, Chris will partner Taiwanese actress Ruby Lin for this series and the pair will play a married couple in the show. In Forgotten, Chris and Ruby’s marriage start to fall apart due to a lack of communication and personality differences, and an unexpected accident changes their life entirely.

At the on-site interview of his new drama, Chris expressed his happiness to work with Ruby and hopes for their characters to share “good onscreen chemistry”. The 40-year-old claimed that his wife and local actress, Fann Wong, is not worried that he will stray and develop feelings for his co-star through this drama series. He claimed that “communication” is the key to a happy marriage and shared that they both understand the job requirements of being in showbiz.

Chris added that “doing little gestures such as saying I love you will help to improve marriage life” and suggested, “A married couple should pretend that they are still young kids from time to time, and do small childish acts that may come across as juvenile in the eyes of others.”

After hearing of Fann and Chris’ loving relationship, an envious Ruby gave a wry smile and said, “There are eligible suitors pursuing me, but I can’t do anything about it if I don’t have feelings for him.”

The 36-year-old also extended a warm invitation to Fann to join them in Taiwan, and hopes to play host to the couple.
